Recipe type: Main Dish
- 1 1/2 cups Jasmine or basmati rice, uncooked
- 2 garlic cloves minced
- 2 small onions chopped
- Small handful dates pitted and chopped
- Small handful prunes pitted and chopped
- Small handful apricots chopped
- 2 tsp sea salt
- 1 1/2 cups ground cooked lamb
- 1 teaspoon vegetable oil
- Cook the lamb
- Drain and put aside into a bowl
- Rinse the rice
- Cook the rice with the onions, garlic, oil and 1 tsp salt
- Mix the lamb, and dried fruits a large bowl
- Cook the rice until almost done
- Do not drain the rice
- Add the lamb mixture to the rice
- Finish cooking the rice
- Season to taste(1 more tsp salt)
- Serve as a side dish or as main course(I served this as a main course)
