- 3 medium sized yams or sweet potatoes
- 1 Tbsp of grape seed oil or extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1 heaping tsp smoked hot paprika
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 2 grinds of black pepper
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
- Wash and dry yams well
- Cut off ends and rough parts
- Cut yams in half lengthwise
- Cut the halves in thirds lengthwise
- Place wedges in large bowl
- Add oil, salt, pepper, paprika and cinnamon
- Mix and massage with hands until yam fries are fully coated with oil and seasonings
- Place yams in single layer on parchment or Silpat lined sheet tray
- Bake in oven for 10-15 minutes depending on thickness of fries
- Dominic eats them plain, and our girls and I, dip them in ketchup. I think they would also be delicious dipped in a homemade aioli.
