Homemade Vanilla Ice Cream

Ingredients
  • 6 large egg yolks
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 cup confectioners sugar
  • 1 pinch fine sea salt
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1 quart heavy cream
Instructions
  1. Place egg yolks, egg, sugar, sea salt, and vanilla extract in a bowl
  2. Mix with electric mixer until it becomes a light yellow color
  3. Add heavy cream and mix until combined
  4. Pour into ice cream maker
  5. Turn on ice cream maker
  6. Wait 20-30 minutes until thick
  7. Remove thick ice cream into large freezer safe container
  8. Push plastic wrap into the ice cream, so you do not get a funky layer
  9. Cover and freeze for 3-5 hours
  10. Enjoy in a big bowl, with or without toppings
