Sauteed Brussels Sprouts with Apples and Onions | | |

- 20 Brussels sprouts, sliced
- 1 large crisp apple(I used a fuji), medium chopped
- 1 medium yellow onion, sliced
- 2 Tbsp grapeseed oil, or extra virgin olive oil
- 1/4 tsp sea salt
- 4 grinds black pepper
- 1 cup of apple cider
- Slice old stem of Brussels sprouts, clean and peel outer layer
- Peel and chop apple
- Slice onion
- Add oil to large saute pan
- Saute sprouts, apple and onion to pan
- Add salt and pepper
- Saute until little brown bits start appearing on the bottom of pan
- Deglaze pan with some apple cider, scrape all the yummy dark bits off the bottom of the pan with a wooden spoon
- Saute until all the apple cider is cooked down
- Taste throughout the cooking process, and salt and pepper accordingly
