- For a large batch
- 6 cups rolled oats
- 1/4 cup dried cranberries
- 12 dried apricots diced
- 1/4 cup yellow raisins
- 1/4 cup Thompson raisins
- 1/2 cup raw sunflower seeds
- 1/4 cup raw pumpkin seeds
- 1/4 cup unsweetened shredded coconut
- Additions to morning bowl
- 1 1/2 oranges juiced
- 1/2 cup unsweetened shredded coconut
- 1/2 crisp apple(we use Fuji) grated
- fresh strawberries
- fresh or store bought organic plain yogurt
- local honey
- Every morning, a half hour before we want to eat, we do the following. Juice 1 1/2 oranges into bowl, and add grated 1/2 an apple, peel on. (if I do not have time to grate an apple we just add unsweetened shredded coconut instead). Add 2 cups muesli mix to the orange apple mixture, and stir well. Cover with plastic wrap and put in the refrigerator for a half hour. Fast forward half hour. Scoop into bowl 3/4 cup muesli mix. Add 2 heaping Tspn organic plain yogurt. Drizzle 1 heaping Tspn honey all over yogurt and muesli. Feel free to add to your bowl some fresh picked berries of your choice. Makes enough to fit into a 2 quart glass mason jar.
